paplūdimio tinklinis statusas T sritis Kūno kultūra ir sportas apibrėžtis Sportinis kamuolio žaidimas stačiakampėje smėlio aikštėje be vidurio ir puolimo linijų. Aikštės dydis 16×8 m. Žaidžia 2 komandos po 2 žaidėjus iki dviejų laimėtų setų, kurių kiekvienas trunka tol, kol viena komanda laimi 21 tašką. Trečiąjį setą (jei toks bus) laimi komanda, pirma surinkusi 15 taškų. Kiekviename sete komandos keičiasi aikštės pusėmis (išskyrus trečiąjį setą) kas 10 taškų (pvz., kai santykis 3 : 7). Kitos taisyklės kaip tinklinio. Paplūdimio tinklinis pradėtas žaisti 1987 m. Brazilijoje ir JAV. Lietuvoje ėmė plisti nuo 1990 m. Pirmasis Lietuvos paplūdimio tinklinio čempionatas surengtas 1992 m. Į olimpinių žaidynių sporto programą įtrauktas 1996 m. atitikmenys: angl. beach volleyball vok. Strandvolleyball, m rus. бич-волей; пляжный волейбол
